Our Work
Whether you are a teen or an adult, 1 in 5 people experience serious emotional or mental health challenges—and many suffer in silence.
We are on a mission to change that.
Depression: 1 in 8 teens and 1 in 10 adults experience major depression each year.
Suicide: Nearly 50,000 lives are lost to suicide annually in the U.S.—that’s one every 11 minutes
Addiction: More than 48 million Americans struggle with substance use disorders
Trauma/PTSD: About 1 in 17 adults live with post-traumatic stress disorder each year
Grief: Roughly 1 in 5 bereaved adults experience prolonged or complicated grief.Â
Hopelessness: Studies show that loneliness and hopelessness are at record highs, leaving many searching for meaning, connection, and peace.
At Soulful Strides Sanctuary, hearts are healed through faith, love, and horses. We offer Christ-centered, equine-assisted experiences that help people rediscover hope, peace, joy, and purpose. Whether you’re carrying the weight of depression, grief, trauma, addiction, or suicidal thoughts, you are not alone. Through the gentle presence of horses and the power of Christ’s love, healing is possible—and your life can change.
Our Approach:
Three Healing Pillars
At Soulful Strides Sanctuary, everything we do is built on three healing pillars—Faith, Love, and Horses. These principles work together to restore the mind, body, and spirit and are woven into every group session, retreat, and healing moment.
FAITH
We believe true healing begins with Christ. Through scriptural reflection, prayer, and guided discussion, participants reconnect with their identity as a beloved child of God. As they rebuild their relationship with Him, they begin to rediscover their purpose, strengthen their faith, and experience the peace, hope, and confidence that comes from knowing who they are in Christ.
LOVE
Healing happens in safe, supportive relationships. Our programs are built around community, connection, and compassion. We also believe that living is giving—and that serving others can be a powerful step in the healing journey. That’s why we create opportunities for participants to give back in meaningful ways, building purpose, gratitude, and emotional strength as they serve.
HORSES
There’s something sacred about being near a horse. Their quiet strength, sensitivity, and nonjudgmental presence can break down walls that words often can't. Horses respond to us honestly, helping us become more aware of our emotions and how we show up in the world. Simply being with them brings calm, clarity, and connection. Through guided activities on the ground, participants learn to build trust, face fear, and discover healing in ways they never expected.

Demonstration Sessions for NonProfit
Offer your team or clients a chance to experience the healing power of horses firsthand.
We offer free or low-cost equine demonstration sessions to nonprofit organizations that serve individuals battling depression, trauma, addiction, grief, or suicidal thoughts. These sessions give both staff and clients the opportunity to experience the safety, connection, and insight equine therapy can provide—and to explore how it could complement the support you already offer.
We specialize in working with:
- Veterans
- First responders & healthcare workers
- Survivors of abuse & human trafficking
- Individuals in recovery
- Families grieving suicide loss
Leadership & Team Connection Workshops
Bring your leadership team closer—with horses as your guide.
Our equine-assisted workshops for executives and leadership teams are designed to build trust, enhance emotional intelligence, and strengthen communication. Through engaging, ground-based activities with horses, teams learn to lead with clarity, connection, and compassion.
These sessions not only transform teams—they also fund access to healing experiences for underserved individuals and families through Soulful Strides’ nonprofit programs.
